Timothy A. 'Tim' Welch, age 46, of North Fairfield, died Saturday, October 20, 2007 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born May 29, 1961 in Willard, Ohio and had lived most of his life in the North Fairfield area. He had served in the U.S. Army. Tim was a diesel mechanic for several trucking companies and had worked at the former Van Dresser Company of Norwalk and R.R. Donnelley of Willard. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Joellie; a daughter, Tania Welch of Norwalk; a son Jeremiah of Norwalk; a step son, Jordan Skiver at home; and a step daughter, Josilyn Swain at home; 2 grandchildren; step father, Joe Villareal of North Fairfield; grandmother, Minerva Welch of North Fairfield; a brother, Joe Villareal of Willard; 2 sisters, Tomasina Scott of Sandusky and Cruz Villareal of Atlanta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Welch in 1990; his father, Frank Whitaker; and grandfather, Jerry Welch. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich, where friends may call from 12:30 until the time of service. Burial will follow in the North Fairfield Cemetery and memorials if desired may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
