Travis R. McQuate, 21, of Wellington, Ohio, died on February 14, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic, after a year long battle with cancer.  He was born on May 16, 2002, in Lorain, Ohio, to Trisha (Bailey) Leonardi and Dennis McQuate.  He was a graduate of Wellington High School and Lorain County JVS where he was part of the Masonry program.

Travis loved his family, animals, fishing, the outdoors, skateboarding, music, and video games.  He was a selfless, good kid, with a great heart who was always very giving of himself and his time.  He worked for everything he had and was a cook at Dmitri's in Wellington.

He is survived by his mother, Trisha (Harry the 5th) Leonardi; father, Dennis (Sherry) McQuate Jr.; siblings, Cody Bailey, Gavyn Kreider, Shana Kreider, Lilly Kreider, Liam Kreider, Cortney McQuate, Taylor McQuate, and Jayce McQuate; grandparents, Harry Leonardi (the 4th), Anthrina Leonardi, Dennis McQuate Sr., Nancy McQuate, Deborah Ann Bailey, Wanda Burnsworth, Dennis Burnsworth, Walt and Sharon Majer; and his dog, "Daisy".
