Obituary

Travis Allen Sexton, 22, of Sullivan was called home to the Lord unexpectedly on August 18, 2021

He was born in Medina, OH to Shirley and the late William (Bill) Sexton on May 29th, 1999.

Travis was a 2018 graduate of Black River High School. He enjoyed sports and played on the Varsity Baseball and Football Team. A fond memory of his was being a part of the football program's remarkable 2017 playoff run. After high school he developed a passion for the skilled trades and entered a masonry apprentice program. At the time of his passing, he was in the third year of his apprenticeship and was a member of the Bricklayers Local 5 Ohio Union. To say he loved his job would be an understatement, he was an extremely hard worker; he devoted a lot of hours to learning the trade, and took immense pride in the work he did. The family would like to thank all of his co-workers and instructors from his apprenticeship program for everything they have done over the last 3 plus years. All of you inspired Travis and sparked his passion for the brick laying profession. After finishing up his brick laying job for the day, he would spend the majority of his evenings and weekends working for his own landscaping business, Platinum Landscaping & Masonry.

Travis was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt with his dog, Bruno, fish, man the grill, and drive his truck. His family and friends were an extremely important part of his life, he always wanted to be surrounded by the people that he loved. He was the "fun uncle", he looked forward to spending time with his nieces and nephews, and they always enjoyed hanging out with "Uncle Trav". He was friendly, kind, and loving to everyone that he met and would do anything to help someone in need. His infectious personality and bright smile will be missed by all those that knew him.

Travis will be forever missed by his mom, Shirley Sexton, the love of his life, Jenna, sister, Tiffany (Andrew), brothers, Tyler (Payton), and Trent. Aunts, Shelly Wingard (Dave), Jewell Sollars, Annie Wood, Shawna Ramey, Denise Schindelholz (Dan), Uncles, Dan (Leslie), Matt (Andrea), Bob (Lois), Matthew (Diane), Dennis (Lynn), Mark (Teri), Nieces, Cru and Riya, Nephews, Coy and Mason, and many cousins.

He was reunited in Heaven with his Dad, William (Bill), Brother, Timothy, Paternal Grandparents, Annie and Billie Sexton, Maternal Grandparents, Walter and Sonya Weber, Uncle, Jim, and Aunt, Jeanne.
