Valerie Greenfield, 79, of Wellington, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Born on June 24, 1938 in Scheffield England, she was the daughter of Bill Bunn and Florence (nee Smith) Bunn. Valerie had also resided in Canada before moving to Wellington in 1999. Valerie had a passion for horses throughout her life and had raised them up until recently. She was a member of the Ohio Horseman's Council and was a riding instructor for the handicapped in central Kentucky. She was an avid animal lover and also devoted her time to raising dogs. She will be remembered for her dedication and compassion that she had for others. She is survived by her son Jeffrey (Colleen) Greenfield, of Wellington; grandchildren, Garrett Nelson and; step-grandchildren, Susie, Ashley, Carrie and Tina; great grandchildren, Elsie, Pricilla, Ashton, Aidyn and Raylan; and siblings Margaret Jennett and Linda Dennington. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Gary Nelson Greenfield and great grandson Jude. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, November 12, at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington, 44090 from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 7:45.
