Vanie J. "Bam" Burkett, 58, of Norwalk died Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Fisher Titus Hospital, Norwalk.  She was born on August 10, 1966, in Ashland to the late Vannie M. (Kidd) and Johnny Damron.  Vanie was a graduate of New London High School and Ehove, Class of 1984 and worked at London Berger, Kents and sewline over the years.  She was a member of the Deliverance Tabernacle in New London and her faith was very important to her.  Vanie enjoyed playing bingo, collecting Americana and listening to 80's rock, but spending time with her grandchildren she cherished most.

Vanie is survived by her 3 daughters, Amber (Jeff) Sonner of Norwalk, Brittany Colflesh of Sandusky and Katelynne Dewey (Justin Taylor) of Sandusky; 4 grandchildren, Zachary, Harlee, Kenslee and Jeanette; siblings, Virginia "Ginny" (Harold) Case, William "Bill" Damron, Betty (Mike) Kroumholtz as well as several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Glenn Damron, James Damron, Brad Damron and Kathy Harvey.

Friends may call Monday, June 9, 2025, from 1 PM until the time of the service at 2 PM at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W.
