Vernard George Vickery Sr., 60, of Norwalk, died February 14, 2020, at Twilight Gardens after a long illness. Born on August 12, 1959 in Bristol CT, he was the son of Wilbur Sr. and Lucille (nee Dutil) Vickery.

Vern was a 1977 graduate of St. Paul High School and a lifelong resident of Norwalk. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, starting as a youth in Boy Scouts and throughout his life as an avid fisherman. Vern also enjoyed listening to music as well as reading The Lord of the Ring. Most of all, Vern Cherished time spent with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his sons, Vernard (Lisa) Vickery Jr., of Norwalk, and Brandon (Amanda) Vickery, of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren Masen, Arian, and Milo; his mother Lucille Vickery, of Norwalk; and siblings Wilbur Vickery Jr., of Columbus, and Danielle Phillips, of Norwalk. Vern was preceded in death by his Father Wilbur Vickery Sr.
