Vernice Hall, age 78, of New London, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Hospice of North Central Ohio, Ashland after a short illness. She was born April 20, 1932 in McDowell, Kentucky, daughter of the late Birch and Florence (nee Moore) Hinkle. Vernice moved to New London in 1954. She had worked as a caf' manager at K-Mart in Ashland for several years, and retired from the New London Nursing Home as the Dietary Manager. She enjoyed bowling, dancing and sports, especially the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers.
Vernice is survived by her children, Terry Hall of New London, Tracy (Pam) Hall of West Salem, Ohio, Judy (Jim) Charlton of Grove City, Ohio; 7 grandchildren, Heather Bartlett, Ryan Bartlett, Danielle Charlton, Tana Hall, Tiffany Hall, Whitney Hall, Wesley Hall; 3 great-grandchildren, Jordan Bartlett, Hunter Wiseman, Alexis Adams; her siblings, Launa Allen, Shirley Pack, Nola Adams, Anna Mae McDermiss, Jack Hinkle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hall, her son, Stanley Hall, her brothers, Kenneth, Bill, Denny, and Glen Hinkle.
Friends may call from 6 ' 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Cathy Ake officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park. Memorials if desired may be given to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Dr., Ashland, Ohio 44805.
