Vickie L. Garn, 65, a lifelong Wellington resident, died Friday, December 19, 2008 at her home following a lengthy illness. Born on August 22, 1943 in Lodi to Arthur and Estella (nee Grissinger) Dumke, Vickie was a 1961 Wellington High School graduate. Following her graduation from Columbus Business University in 1962, Vickie worked as a medical and legal secretary at various locations. She loved spending time with her grandkids. Vickie also enjoyed camping and craft work. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Raymond Garn; three children, Randall 'Randy' (Darlene) Garn, Jeffrey 'Jeff' (Teresa) Garn and Scott (Peggy) Garn and 7 grandchildren, all of Wellington. Vickie is also survived by her parents; a brother, Arthur Dumke, Jr. of Vermillion and a sister, Michelle Star of Cleveland. Friends and family may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 22 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Mullet officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to New Life Hospice, 5255 N.
