Victoria Merceedes Villanueva, 34, formerly of Wellington, died Thursday, June 27, 2024. Born on September 6, 1989, in Oberlin, she was the daughter of Ilene (nee Lara) and Henry Villanueva. She grew up in California before moving to Wellington.
Victoria worked as a DSP for ResCare in Wellington for several years. She would attend Lincoln St Chapel. Victoria liked to cook and loved listening to music. Most of all she cherished time spent with her family, especially her children.
Victoria's heart was larger than life and she often spent her time helping others. She had an infectious sense of humor and a smile that could light up any room. Victoria spread happiness wherever she went and will be remembered by all that knew her as a loving and caring soul.
Victoria is survived by her children, Keyanna, Keyara, Koby, Kiomi, and Kylene; grandparents, Patricia and George Elkin, and Daniel Lara; siblings, Aaron, Venessa, Valerie, and Miranda Villanueva; her companion of many years, Kolby Hagler; and numerous cousins, 2nd cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ilene in 2016 and a son, D'Angelo Villanueva.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, July 5 from 3 pm until 7 pm at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St, Wellington. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the family in care of the funeral home to assist with expenses.
