Violet M. "Vi" Arnold

Violet M. “Vi” Arnold, 96, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, at Cleveland MetroHealth Hospital. She was born on May 1, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Archie and Clara (Minshull) Welch. Violet was a graduate from York High School, where she was a straight “A” student; and cheerleader.

She worked with Dr. Blackwood and Dr. Vargas before working at Kaiser Wells Pharmacy for 30 years. Violet was also a volunteer at Fisher-Titus for 26 years. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi since 1963, the Firelands Senior Center, and Golden Agers, St. Paul’s Catholic Church (since 1951), and the Daughters of Isabella.

Violet enjoyed reading, traveling, crocheting, playing cards, her cat “Grayson”, bowling, some crafts, sewing, and fishing.

She is survived by her children, Linda Arnold-Lillibridge of Grand Rapids, MI, Laura Martin of Bellevue, OH, Laurence (Deborah) Arnold of Berlin Heights, OH, LaMont (Jill) Arnold of Wanneroo, W. Australia, and Carolyn Arnold Milford, MI; her grandchildren, Angela, Zachary, Heather, Drew, Aaron, Laura, Kurt, Karl, and Bradley; 14 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Vernon H. Arnold in 2012, and grandson, Jonathon Martin.

The family would like to thank Violet’s friends who became family and helped look after her: Patty, Paul, Bonnie, Jane, and John.

Visitation for Violet will be on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will begin at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 1st, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk, Ohio, 44857, with burial to follow in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
