Obituary

Violet Marie Hart, 91, of Penfield Township, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at her home. She was born on September 20, 1922, in Wellington and resided in Penfield Township for the past 60 years. She graduated from Wellington High School in 1940. Violet was a teller at the Farmers Savings Bank in Spencer where she retired in 1984, prior to that she worked at the License Bureau in Wellington. Violet was a member the Nazarene Church in Eaton, Ohio where she played piano, taught Sunday school and was a former treasurer. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Wellington for the past 25 years. Violet was a regular at the Wellington McDonald's 10 a.m. coffee club. She is survived by her husband, Howard; children, Ronald H. (Trudie) Hart of Elyria, Linda M. (Harold) VanMeter of Penfield Township, David J. (Patricia) Hart of Litchfield, Rachael Welch of Penfield Township and Deborah (Evan) Kincaid of Maricopa, Arizona; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson and siblings, Betty Cassel of Cocoa, Florida and Vada Harris of Ashland. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeffrey Hart; great grandson, Shane VanMeter and parents, Fay and Mary Frances Long. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington with Pastor Paul Wilson officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Wellington, 127 Park Place, Wellington, Ohio 44090.
