Virginia E. Crawford, age 88, of Bellville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Lexington Court Care Center in Lexington. She was born on December 23, 1924 in Fremont, daughter of the late David VanBuren and Maude (Gutzeit) Berkey. She graduated from Milan High School and worked at Fannie Farmer in Norwalk. Virginia lived on the east side of Norwalk until the late 50's when she moved to New London. Virginia lived in Ray, Ohio for about 30 years. Virginia is survived by her children, Cynthia Dodd, David Crawford, Arthur Crawford, Norene Crawford, Judy Smith and Juanita Oney; 15 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Russell Crawford and brother, Wilson Berkey. Virginia's family will greet friends on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London with Rev. Brian Ayers officiating.
