Virginia M. Bungard, 97, of Norwalk, passed away, Tuesday morning, October 25, 2022, at the Commons of Providence in Sandusky.

Virginia was born on August 22, 1925, in Monroeville, OH, to the late Alvin and Edna (Stang) Fritz.

Virginia was a 1943 graduate of Monroeville High School. She worked at the Huron County Probate Court from 1943 – 1951. Once her son was born, Virginia became a dedicated homemaker. She took great pride in caring for her loved ones and was very involved with her children. Virginia was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and volunteered with a servant's heart. In her spare time, Virginia enjoyed playing cards and being social.

Virginia is survived by her children, Robert (Lynda) Bungard of Norwalk, Carol (Doug) Tucker of Powell, Nancy (Bill) Krepczynski of Dublin; granddaughters, Lindsay (Anthony Norton) Bungard of Norwalk, and Melanie (Brian) Alberta of Delaware, and great-grandson, Graham Alberta.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, E. Homer Bungard, whom passed in 2015, and siblings, Richard Fritz and Marilyn Pierce.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 1 pm to 4 pm at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022, at 10:30 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. The burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
