Virginia M. (Coy) Garner, age 72, of North Fairfield, Ohio, died unexpectedly on October 31, 2009. She was born May 11, 1937 in Fitchville, Ohio daughter of the late Calvin & Erma (Wolfe) Coy. She graduated from New London High School in 1955 and was married July 4, 1956.
Ginny shared 53 wonderful years with her husband, Randy Garner, Sr. Together they ran Garner's Market in North Fairfield. Ginny and her husband operated Randy Garner, Auctioneer; she was cashier, this developed her interest and collection of great antiques. Ginny started the Friday Coffee Club with numerous girlfriends, at her home. Her greatest joy was her family, who spent nearly every Sunday dinner with Ginny and Randy.
Ginny is survived by her husband, Randy Garner, Sr., son, Randy (Terry) Garner, and daughters, Marcia (Roger) Osborn, Robin (Scott) Shepherd, and Melanie (Tim) Conaway. As well as 9 grandchildren, Kelly, Ryan, Brandon, Becky, Todd, Cole, Brent, Zac and Kurt; 3 step grandchildren, Heath, Joel and Amber; and 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Clarence (June) Coy, Alfred (Sue) Coy, Roger (Evelyn) Coy and Mary (Larry) Oney.
Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 and from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service Tuesday at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. Pastor Bob Hudberg will officiate and burial will follow in the North Fairfield Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be made to the North Fairfield Library or the North Fairfield United Methodist Church.
