Virginia D. Holcomb, age 89, of Bellevue and formerly of Greenwich, died Friday, March 26, 2010 at the home of her daughter. She was born June 4, 1920 in Vago, West Virginia. She moved to Greenwich in 1953 and had been in Bellevue since 1984.
Virginia was a past member of the Cold Springs Methodist Church in West Virginia. She worked as a waitress in West Virginia and also worked at Midwest Industries in Willard from 1955 until her retirement. Virginia was a past member of the Farm Women's Club in Greenwich and a former member of the Moose in Willard.
She is survived by her children, Charles Suttle of New Lexington, Ohio, Betty Loudermilk of Heath, Ohio, Janice Horner of Mansfield, Jimmie Holcomb of Hollywood, Florida, Marsha Heyman of Bellevue; 90 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; brother, Bennie Suttle of Clintonville, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald in 1984; father, Roy Lee Dunn; mother and stepfather, Grace Lillian (Yates) and Sam Suttle; grandson, Mikie Holcomb; sister, Garnet Dibert and brother, Jesse Yates.
Friends may call from 2 ' 5 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday with Rev. David Horner officiating.
