Virginia "Ginny" M. Focht, 71, of Wakeman, passed away at Twilight Gardens in Norwalk on Monday, July 18, 2016. She was born December 11, 1944 in Norwalk, daughter to the late Donald and Minnie Mae (nee Bursley) Wolcott. Ginny graduated from New London High School. She worked for New London Regalia, the former CE Ward Company and Thomas Creative Apparel. Ginny was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family. She was known for her smile. Ginny enjoyed her Pepsi, and liked sewing, spending time at the lake, and loved lighthouses. Ginny will be sadly missed by her daughters, Julie (Bob) Weaver and Janice Wicks both of Wakeman; grandchildren, Josh (Alle) Weaver, Jared Holland, Elizabeth Holland, Brian Wicks II., Ariana Wicks and Maija Wicks and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William. The Focht family will greet friends from 1 pm until the 3 pm service Friday, July 22, 2016 at Eastman Funeral Home in New London with Rick Burkholder officiating. Burial will follow in Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery.
