Obituary

Virginia A. Neuberger, 92, died March 5, 2020 at Heritage Village of Clyde following a brief illness. Born on August 17, 1927 in Hartland Township to the late George and Garnett (nee Lease) Opfer, Virginia was a lifelong Norwalk resident.

She was a member of the Norwalk First Baptist Church, the Golde Lambs and 49ers. Virginia also belonged to the Eastern Star Halceon #347 and the Huron County Farm Women's Club. She enjoyed knitting, pinochle club, gardening and lawn care. For many years, she volunteered as a Bronson Poll Worker.  Her greatest joys were being a wife and a mom.

Survivors include her children, Carol Dennison, of Norwalk, Roberta (David) Murray, of Helena, and Kevin (Angela) Neuberger, of Norwalk; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and her sister, Helen Derr, of CA. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2005; brother, Carl Opfer and sister, Jean Seifert and Dorothy Searles.

Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the 12 p.m. Funeral Service on Friday, March 13 at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations in memory of Virginia can be made to ProMedica Hospice, 430 S. Main St., Clyde, OH 43410.
