Virginia L. Wolfe, age 77, of New London, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born January 14, 1930 in Norwalk, daughter of the late Elden and Nellie (Oberley) Barnes. She had lived most of her life in the Norwalk and New London areas. Mrs. Wolfe was a 1948 graduate of Norwalk High School. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Howard V. Wolfe, whom she married July 17, 1948; 2 sons, Kevin Wolfe of Norwalk and Mike (Debbie) Wolfe of New London; a daughter, Lori (Steve) Rospert of Norwalk; 6 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert Barnes and James Barnes both of Norwalk. Private services were held and burial took place at the Collins Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London were in charge of arrangements.
