Obituary

Vivian R. (Ward) Donaldson, age 83, of Wellington died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born September 22, 1924 in Cleveland to the late John Joseph and Retha (Yancer) Campbell Sr. She was the daughter of Scottish descendants. Vivian lived in Elyria for twenty years and had resided in the Wellington area since 1962. Vivian was a member of the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, knitting, and bowling. Vivian was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Survivors include two sons, Aubre Ward of Wellington and Scott Ward of Collins; 4 Grandchildren; and 5 Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Irene Gardner of Elyria and Harriet Thompson of California, and a brother, Thomas Thompson of California. Vivian was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Ward in 1996, her son, Neal Ward in 1998, her second husband, Ray Donaldson in 2007, a sister, Shirley Sherrill, and 2 brothers, Lawrence Emory and John Joseph Campbell Jr. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, where funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2007. Pastor Kenneth Gerhardt will officiate and burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Ohio Division Inc., North Region, 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
