Vivian P. Seeley

Vivian Pearl (Conklin) Seeley, 89, formerly of Wellington, passed away peacefully, with family present, on January 26, 2026.

Vivian was born in Rochester, Ohio on July 13, 1936 to Lee and Pearl Conklin. She graduated from New London High School (1954) and Oberlin Business School, and married James D. Seeley on November 3, 1956. They had three children. Vivian worked for Northern Savings, Elyria Savings and Trust, and Oberlin College food service (her favorite) until she was 76.

Vivian was a member of the Brighton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed serving as their choir director for many years. She loved to organize and plan church and family events. Her generosity, kindness, caring and tasty baked goods were enjoyed by many.

She adored her grandchildren - and all children - and treated them as her own, teaching many to knit and bake over the years.

Celebrating her life and memory are children, James (Carol) Seeley of Shelby, OH; Kathy (Greg) Adam of Erie, CO; and Lori (Patrick) Walsh of Jefferson, SD; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Conklin; and sister-in-law Marge Funk.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James D. Seeley; siblings Ella Conklin, Charles Conklin, Lela Breyley, Gerald Conklin, Neva Bournival, Norma Simon; and a grandson, Dan.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home in Wellington at 10:30 AM, with service at noon.

Burial will follow at Brighton Township Cemetery.
