Vonda M. Spiegel, 95, passed from Gaymont Nursing Home in Norwalk to heavenly rest, on March 24, 2022.  She was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1926, in Lacarne, Ohio, to the late Murland O. and Florence (Fachman) Brunkhorst and was a 1944 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.

Vonda was a longtime member of the Norwalk First United Methodist Church, where she had been an active member of the choir, Wesleyan Circle, and United Methodist women's group.  She was a member of Queen Esther Chapter #15, Order of the Eastern Star for nearly 70 years, and Singara Caldron Grotto Ladies, and American Legion Auxiliary member for over 40 years, as well as many other groups and organizations.

Vonda enjoyed playing cards and dominoes.  She worked for many years, alongside her late husband, Ralph, at Spiegel Insurance, where she managed the office.

Survivors include her children, Paul J. (Peggy) Spiegel of Arkansas, Bryan J. (Susan) Spiegel of Texas, and Marie B. (James) Fresch of Norwalk, Ohio; grandchildren, Jamie Spiegel Hendricks, Jon Crisp, Laura (Scott) Crisp, Mike (Beth) Smith, Michelle Spiegel, Angela (Kevin) McNatt and Alexandra (David) Chew; great grandchildren, Joshelyn Irene, Daniel Johnson, and Emma Crisp, Nathaniel and Gabriel Smith, and Matthew and Zachary McNatt.

In addition to her parents, Vonda was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Spiegel in 1981 and sister, Iris (Arthur) Norris.

Friends and family are invited to the Norwalk First United Methodist Church, 60 W. Main St., Norwalk, Ohio, where a visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the 2:30 p.m. funeral service, with Rev. Dr. Brian Oglesbee officiating.  Burial will follow the service in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Memorial contributions, if desired may be made to the Norwalk First United Methodist Endowment Fund or "Growing God's Way Capital Initiative", 60 W.
