Wade Alan King, 59, of Wellington, died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at University Hospital in Cleveland. On November 13, 1956, Wade was born in Lakewood to Dale and Joan (nee Thomas) King. He graduated from Wyoming High School in Cincinnati and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Kent State University. Mr. King taught History and Geography at Keystone High School for 32 years. He was a member of the Wellington Eagles Aerie 2051 and the Wellington VFW Post 6941. In his spare time, Wade enjoyed golfing and playing pool with friends. In true Buckeye fashion, he enjoyed making many memories at the horseshoe. A lover of life, laughter, and adventure, he mostly treasured time spent with his family. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Laurie (nee Sieving) King; children, Paul King, of Washington, D.C., Rebecca King, of San Jose, California and Christy King, of Columbus; his mother, Joan King, of Columbus; brothers, Glen (Maggie) King, of Toledo and Dan King, of Columbus and nephews and niece, Kyle, Connor, Ashley and Davis. Wade was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Andrew King, and his father, Dale. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23 from 4-7 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wellington Eagles, 631 South Main Street, on Thursday, March 24 from 6-8 p.m. A private burial will take place at Brighton Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wade's memory may be directed to the Wade King Memorial Scholarship established at Fifth Third Bank.
