Wallace "Wally" A. Fry, 68, of Nova, died September 9, 2013. He was born July 2, 1945, in Youngstown, to the late Cliford "Jack" and Ruth (Andrews) Fry. Wally lived most of his life in Nova.
He served in the US Army from 1965-1967 and worked for Custom Hoist and Fautless. Wally was a member of the Eagles in Ashland and New London and the American Legion in New London. He was a volunteer for the Nova Fire Department.
Wally enjoyed following NASCAR. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes, played many years of softball for Heyl Diggers, loved to play card games and spending time with his grandkids.
Survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Christine Marie (Mike) Thompson of Ashland; son, Russell Eugene (Stacy Adams) Fry of Ashland; grandchildren, Lane Andrew Fry, Emily Jean Fry and Grace Olivia Fry; siblings, Mary (Tim) Carmen of Loudonville, Vicky (Dick) Forbush of Sullivan, Randy (Brenda) Knowlton of Ashland, Tim (Steph) Knowlton of Ashland, Dianne (Dan) Wires of Ashland, Cathy Kennel of Ashland, Jean (Terry) Kopp of Ashland, Nancy (Conrad) Griffith of Ashland, Jim (Bonnie) Knowlton of Ashland, Edna Bellato of Youngstown, Earl (Bonnie) Fry of Georgia and Jackie Ray Fry and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Doris Samples and Tillie Otterbacher and stepmother, Alberta "Betty" Miller who raised him.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 13 at the Nova Cemetery with Pastor Janet Chilcote and military rites. A celebration of life to follow at the home of Vicky and Dick Forbush, 785 Twp Road 350, Sullivan, Ohio 44880.
