Walter E. Heald Sr., 80, resident of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Twilight Gardens Home, surrounded by his family. He was born September 3, 1938, to the late Clifford R. and Elizabeth J. Heald, in North Fairfield, Ohio, and was a lifelong area resident. Walter is preceded in death by his son, Clifford Roy Heald (little Clifford). He was a former employee of Norwalk Furniture for 38 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member and Deacon of the First Church of Christ, in Norwalk, Ohio, and loved watching John Wayne, and Steven Seagal movies. Walter was also a big fan of the Cleveland Indians, and loved spending his time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis J. (Penwell) Heald, of Norwalk, Ohio, by his children, Laura (Tom) Klepper, of Huron, Ohio, Walter Heald Jr. "Eddie", of Huron, Ohio, Robert Heald, (Debbie Slagle), of Norwalk, by his sister, Sharon (Mike) Rhineberger, of Norwalk, Ohio. He was also survived by his 7 grandchildren, Dawn (Ronald) Casalinova, Patty Klepper, Erin (Michael) Gutshall, Zachary, Connor, Rhyder, and Lily Heald, and by 2 great grandchildren, Ronnie and Allie Casalinova, and several nieces and nephews. Walter was preceded in death by his siblings, Delores (DoDo) Reyes, and Clifford (Gene) Heald. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in Walker Eastman Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Pastor Rob Duncan will officiate.
