IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Walter
Sazdanoff
November 15, 1929 – February 18, 2022
Walter Sazdanoff, 92, of Norwalk, Ohio passed away peacefully on February 18, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family after a long history of kidney and heart failure. He was born on November 15, 1929, in Capari, Macedonia to the late Atnans (Tom) and Stevanka (Stella) Sazdanoff.
Walter worked for over 32 years at the Tenneco (formerly Gould/Clevite) in Milan, Ohio. He was known as "the Greek" at work. He would kid around with his co-workers, but he sure was ornery. He was also the co-owner of the Court House Café with his brother Karl. After his shift at work (Clevite) he would help him nightly to close the bar.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He loved going to their sporting events and cooking daily. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
Walter was a loving husband, dad, grandfather, and great grandfather. All knew him as "Dedo", which means "grandfather" in his Yugoslavian language.
He is survived by his loving wife Tatjana (Tanya) Sazdanoff. The two were married on June 19, 1957. He is also survived by his son, Dennis (Dijana) Sazdanoff; his daughter, Stella (Gary) Barman; his granddaughters, Kathy (Mikey), Stephanie (Dan) and Jennifer (Dan); his grandson, Peter; great grandchildren, Alivia, Mason and Logan and numerous nephews.
In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his brothers, Kosta (Blaga) Sazdanoff and Karl (Vera) Sazdanoff and sister, Helen Petrovski.
The family would like to thank the Southern Care Hospice staff and Dr. Crosby and Dr. May's staff and office for their loving care.
