Waneta M. (Mobberly) Jones, 62, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed from this life to heavenly rest on May 12, 2024, at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.  She was born on July 16, 1961, in Ashland, Ohio, to the late Emmett and Rilla (Myers) Mobberly, graduating from New London High School.

Waneta enjoyed fishing, BINGO, pull tabs and gambling, and cherished her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family in general.  She had a huge heart and was always willing to do anything for anyone.

A member of the VFW in Port Clinton, Waneta held many jobs over the years including bartending at TJ's in Norwalk, the former Quality Food Store, The Norwalk Reflector, and most recently American Excelsior Company.

She is survived by her loving companion, Tommy Platt; children, Melanie Mobberly, Allen Mobberly, and Amy Sands-Smith; siblings, Melvina Harshbarger, Frank Mobberly, Howard Mobberly, and Winnie Perkins; and 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great grandchildren, Emmett and Elijah Sands.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, 4:00 PM at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W.
