Obituary

Warren Kolman Pries, age 39, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 5, 2009. Warren was born February 24, 1969 in Lorain, Ohio to Jacqueline Simon-Pries and Roger Pries. He graduated in 1987 from Vermilion High School and excelled in sports, including football and track. This love of sports continued throughout his life and he was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. He attended Lorain County Community College and was certified in CNC Machinery. For the past 21 years, Warren took pride in his roofing and carpentry skills. He was an accomplished musician playing the drums in the band 'Krazy Jane' and was proud of the fact that they were known county-wide in the competition with the 'Battle of the Bands.' Warren will be remembered for his gentle, quiet and sweet nature. He was extremely respectful of everyone he met and had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor. Left to love and miss him are his mother and step-father, Jacqueline and David Howell of New London, Ohio and his father and step-mother Roger and Joanna Pries of Sun City, Arizona. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Pries of Amherst, Ohio and step brother Kevin Howell, stepsisters, Theresa Lohn, Kelly Fowler, and Cathy Pryor. His godfather, Kolman Simon was proud of the fact that Warren was baptized as his namesake. Arrangements were handled by Eastman Funeral Home of New London, Ohio and private graveside services were held on January 12, 2009 with Pastor Chris Bell of the Rochester United Methodist Church presenting the eulogy. Family members attending included his aunt Sandra Finitzer of North Port, Florida and his father, Roger Pries of Sun City, Arizona.
