Wayne P. Timchuk, 86, of New London, died Friday, May 24, 2024, at Welcome Nursing Home, Oberlin.  He was born November 6, 1937, in Lorain, Oh to the late Lillian (Rousseau) and Pete Timchuk.  Wayne grew up in Brighton and graduated from Wellington High School, class of 1955.  He ran heavy construction equipment, farmed and sold farm machinery.  He was a member of the NRA, Buckeye Oliver Collector's and member/officer of numerous tractor clubs where he would travel across the country to attend tractor shows and enjoyed old tractors, steam engines and collecting stuff.  He also enjoyed gardening, snowmobiling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Laurie Timchuk of New London; 3 grandchildren, Alexa Timchuk of Elyria, Matt (Sara) Hicks of Greenwich and Eric Hicks of Ashland; 3 great grandchildren, Cayden, Carson and Thorin Hicks; 2 siblings, Jackie Miller of Columbia Station, Oh and Sandy (Russ) Sword of New London.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard W. Timchuk and sister Betty Yun.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 4-7 PM at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W.
