Weldon Eaton, 86, of Wellington died Saturday, June 16, 2012 after a short illness. He was born on May 28, 1926 in Rochester Twp. to the late Wayne and Leota (nee Laborie) Eaton. Weldon lived most of his life in the Rochester Twp. area.
For nearly 60 years he and his wife Mary worked side by side on their family farm. Weldon also served as a Township Trustee and as a Fair Board Director with the Lorain Co. Fair. In his free time Weldon enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and traveling.
Weldon is survived by his sons Russ, John, Wayne and Bob, daughters Barb Barlow, Bev Raftery, and Kathy Drennan, and their spouses; he is also survived by numerous grandchildren and cousins on both the Laborie and Eaton sides. Weldon was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Mary Ferber Eaton, and a sister Ruth Teves.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a graveside service which will be held on Friday June 22 at the Rochester Cemetery, 49970 Griggs Road, beginning at 11 a.m. Rev. Lea Mahan officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wellington First United Methodist Church, 127 Park Place, Wellington, 44090 or the Brighton United Methodist Church, 21938 St. Rt. 511, Wellington, 44090.
