Whendy Marie Hendrix, 56, of Rochester, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024. She was born on September 21, 1968 in Oberlin, grew up in the Wellington area and was a 1986 Welington High School graduate.

Whendy worked at Whirlaway, now NN, Inc., for 37 years. She was a member of the Wellington American Legion and the Wellington Eagles.

She found great enjoyment in watching sports and liked playing Bingo. Above all, Whendy loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steven; son, Jon (Jessica) Rolfe, of Spencer; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; father, Roger Fye; mother, Helen (nee Urbansky) Fye; sister, Stacy Maitland; and stepchildren, Seth and Nathaniel Hendrix, both of Medina and Briana Scruggs, of Mississippi. Whendy was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Lauren Hendrix and grandparents, Andy and Winifred Urbansky, Gladys Haines and Merritt Fye.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, with Pastor Tony Buchert officiating. A luncheon at the Wellington Eagles will follow the service.
