Obituary

Wilda J. Leber, 79, of Greenwich, died peacefully Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, after a two week illness. She was born April 3, 1928 in Rochester Twp., Lorain County, Ohio, daughter of the late, John Arthur & Abbie (Parker) Jewett. She had been a Greenwich area resident most of her life. She was a 1946 graduate of Brighton High School. She decorated cakes for many years, enjoyed sewing, needlework, gardening, and caring for the family farm with her husband. She was a member of the Neighborhood Women's Club and a member of the Wesley Evangelical Church of Shiloh. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Leber is survived by her husband, Howard, whom she married October 20, 1946; sons & daughters-in-law, Randall and Deb Leber of Greenwich, Scott Leber of Rockford, IL; daughters & sons-in-law, Sharon and Fred Ramsey of Norwalk, Marlene and Richard Wiles of Willard, and Pat and Dick Shriver of Shiloh; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Walter Jewett of Ashland, and sisters, Alma Nemeth of Missoula, Montana, and Theda Vickers of Sun City, Arizona. She was preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence Jewett, Lewis Jewett, and Wendell Jewett; and a sister, Ersa Crittenden. Visitation with the family will be 1:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Wesley Evangelical Church of Shiloh, 58 E. Main St., Shiloh (St. Rte 603 East) with a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wesley Evangelical Church of Shiloh or Shepherd's Chapel, P.O. Box 416, Gravette, AR 72736. Eastman Funeral Home, Greenwich is in charge of arrangements.
