Willard Ray Ferrell, 45, life long resident of New London, died Monday, March 29, 2010 at his home. He was born on June 20, 1964 in New London to the late William and Lavada (Hatmaker) Ferrell. Willard graduated with the New London High School class of 1983 and state champion for shot put. He worked for Modern Poured Walls in Wellington. Willard enjoyed deer hunting, playing music, spending time with and doing things for his kids and grandson. Survivors include his children, Amanda (Allen) Hale, Jr. of New London, Melinda (Nate Grosswiler) Ferrell of Norwalk and Logan (Dessirae Miller) Ferrell of New London and grandson, Colin Grosswiler. He is also survived by his siblings, Roseann and Danny Ferrell, Blanche Myers, Donald Webb and Jimmy Webb. Willard was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Gullet.
