William Edward “Bill” Urbansky, age 62, of New London died on Sunday, January 4, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born April 16, 1963, in Norwalk, he graduated from Western Reserve High School in 1981.
An eclectic man, Bill worked for various companies throughout his life. However, one thing was constant; he was a dedicated and hard-working individual. Bill often worked two jobs going from one right to another. When he was at home he enjoyed gardening and landscaping, maintaining beautiful flower beds. He was also very fond of animals, and his dogs lived very spoiled lives.
Bill is survived by his beloved partner of over thirty years, Dewey Ferguson; and three brothers, Philip (Donna) Urbansky of Milan, Raymond (Kathie Elkins) Urbansky of New London, and Ronald Urbansky of St. Petersburg, FL; and his fur babies, Dottie, Paisley, Whiskey, Charlotte, and Shelby. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven J. and Dora M. (Hand) Urbansky; and a brother, Richard Urbansky.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, OH 44851. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and conclude with a memorial service at 12:00 noon.
Bill’s dogs were his babies, and always received the best of care at Mapleview Animal Hospital. The family requests that, to assist with maintaining this high level of care, memorial donations be directed to his fur babies’ medical account by calling Mapleview Animal Hospital at (419) 668-1367 and applying funds directly to the Ferguson Account. While phone donations are preferred, checks may be mailed to Mapleview Animal Hospital with “Ferguson Account” in the memo line.
On-line condolences can be shared with the family at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
