William R. "Buck" Greene, 83, of Wellington, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Hospice of North Central Ohio after a long battle with cancer. He was born May 10, 1931 in South Webster, Ohio. He moved to Lorain in 1955. He later relocated to Wellington. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Norfolk and Southern Railroad, retiring with 38 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, horse racing and his casino trips. His pride and joy was his garden he raised every year. He had a twinkle in his blue eyes and once you met him you had a friend for life. His greatest joy was his visits from his family and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Vada (nee Terry) Greene; daughters, Loretta (Jim) Rowe, Belinda (Dan) Lawson, Nancy (Randy) Willbond; son, Rodney (Rhonda) Greene; brother, Clarence Faulkner, of South Webster; sisters, Evelyn Mullins, of Wakeman and Edie Donley, of Pedro; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Greene and Nora (nee Smith) Faulkner; brothers, Raymond Greene, Kenneth Faulkner; sisters, Ida Greene, Bonnie Monroe, Norma Garrett and grandson, Joshua Brown. Visitation will be held Friday, December 12, from 5-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington where visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
