William “Bill” Damron, 80, of Monroeville and New London, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky. He was born on March 31, 1945, to the late Johnnie Damron and Vanie Mae (Kidd) Damron.
Bill was raised in New London, Ohio, and built a strong work ethic early in life. He dedicated many years of service to R.R. Donnelley, where he worked as a supervisor and was respected for his leadership and commitment.
A proud United States Marine, Bill faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War. His dedication to his fellow veterans continued throughout his life as an active member of American Legion Post #547 in Monroeville and VFW Post 2529 in Sandusky.
Bill will be remembered for his warm smile, friendly nature, and love of conversation. He cherished time spent with family and friends and enjoyed watching sports in his spare time.
He is lovingly survived by his children, Andrea (Scott) Ashley, Jeff (Stacy) Damron, and Jeremy Damron; his grandchildren, Brent, Rhea, Tyler, Bree, and Logan; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by several siblings.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation will take place, and a private family burial will be held at Grove Street Cemetery in New London at a later date.
