William Kruki, age 76, of New London died Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, after a three year battle with cancer.
Mr. Kruki was born August 26, 1930 in Gallatin, PA, son of the late, John & Mary (Rapp) Kruki. He received his GED from Monongahela High School. He served in the US Air Force Air Traffic Control from 1949 until he moved to New London in 1969. He graduated from Bowling Green University, Firelands with an associates degree. Mr. Kruki worked for 20 years at Oberlin FAA as an Air Traffic Controller.
He was a member of the New London United Methodist Church and a 36 year member of the New London American Legion and the New London V.F.W. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Kruki is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen (Christensen) Kruki; 5 sons, Bill (Jovinna) Kruki of Lake Forest, California, John (Jody) Kruki of Howard, Ohio, Mike (Holly) Kruki of Columbus, David Kruki and Jasen (Mandi) Kruki all of New London; 13 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Ann (Larry) Anselmino of New Eagle, PA and Gloria (Bill) Graham of Elizabeth, PA; and a brother, Frank Kruki of Monongahela, PA. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Leigha Kruki and a sister, Betty Rostoskey.
Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 and from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London.
