William Michael "Mike" Floyd, 67, of Wellington, died Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Elms Retirement Village. Born on February 22, 1955, in Elyria, he was the son of Aretta Maxine (nee Snodgrass) and the late Edwin Keith Floyd. Mike was a 1973 graduate of Wellington High School. Following graduation, he served 8 years in the United States Army.

Mike was a truck driver for many years, most recently driving for Forest City Technologies in Wellington. He was a member of the Wellington VFW Post and had previously been a member of the American Legion and the Wellington Eagles. Mike loved to listen to rock music, work on classic cars, ride his motorcycle, and ride around in his golf cart.

Survivors include his children, Melissa and William "Bubba" Floyd, Jr, both of Mansfield; grandchildren, Bishop, Pacey, and Dylan; his wife, Anita Floyd; his companion, Rose Daniels; and brothers, Keith (Lora) and Scott (Bonnie) Floyd. Mike was preceded in death by his father, James Edwin Floyd, and sister, Darlene Broome.
