William W. 'Bill' Osterland, 47, of New London, died Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo after a sudden illness. He was born on June 1, 1963 in Sandusky to the late Fred and Dorothy Osterland, Sr. Bill grew up in Fitchville and lived in Norwalk. He was a New London High School graduate through Ehove and attended Lincoln Technical College of Indianapolis, Indiana. Bill worked as an injection mold processor. Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on cars. Survivors include his sisters, Diane Osterland of Mansfield and Peggy Osterland of New London; brothers, David Osterland and Donald Osterland both of New London; sister-in-law, Vicky Osterland; nephew, David; great niece, Alissa Stumpf and other nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Osterland, Jr. and his niece, Nicole Osterland. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
