William “Bill” J. Stumpf, 65, of Norwalk, passed away on June 1, 2026, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. He was born on April 14, 1961, to the late Charles Frederick Stumpf Sr. and Jane (Knoll) Stumpf.

A lifelong resident of the area, Bill grew up in New London and graduated from both New London High School and EHOVE Career Center in 1979. He was a member of the New London Eagles Aerie #2869. Bill enjoyed cooking, tending to his garden, and spending time fishing. He also had a passion for collecting antiques, with a particular interest in gold and silver memorabilia.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Judith (Churchill) Stumpf; his son, Matthew (Chrystyna) Stumpf; and his siblings, Sarah (Chuck) Berner, Nancy (Larry) Weisenberger, Betty (Randy) Miller, and Charles (Sue Cole) Stumpf Jr.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Charles Frederick and Jane (Knoll) Stumpf Sr.

A visitation will take place on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, and a funeral service will follow the conclusion of the visitation period beginning promptly at 6:00 p.m. Online condolences and expressions of sympathy can be made by visiting www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com
