Obituary

William Brad Urbansky, 51, of Wellington, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving wife and family after a long, courageous battle with melanoma. Born in 1974 in Oberlin, Bill grew up in Kipton, where he started his family before moving to Wellington in 2003.

Bill was known for his big heart, unwavering dedication, and strong work ethic. He worked at Alco Manufacturing from the age of 19, where he became known as someone who could fix anything and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Whether in the workplace, his garage, or his community, Bill was always the one people could count on and was widely respected.

In his free time, Bill enjoyed the simple things in life that brought him joy-spending cherished moments with his kids and grandchildren, restoring his dad's tractors and 1940 Plymouth, riding his Harley, hunting with friends, raising pigs and taco nights and pull-tabs at the Wellington Eagles. His presence brought comfort and strength to those who knew him, and his love for family was at the center of all he did.

Bill is survived by his mother, Deborah Urbansky; devoted wife of over 30 years, Jennifer Urbansky; his children, Alexandra Stamper (Nick) and Thomas Urbansky (Chelsea); and his six beloved grandchildren, Chloe Lynn, Sophia, Chloe Nicole, Johnathon, Robert and Wyatt. He is also survived by his brother, Robert M. Urbansky (Michelle); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members and friends who loved him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Urbansky; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Phyllis Urbansky, and maternal grandmother, Doris Potts.

Bill chose to be cremated and requested no formal funeral service. Instead, a celebration of life will be held for family and friends at the Hitching Post on Peck Wadsworth Road on Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 1-4 pm- a gathering to remember, laugh, and honor the life of a man who gave so much to so many.

His legacy of love, loyalty, hard work, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's honor may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or stjude.org/donate. Online condolences may be expressed at www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.
