Milan, Ohio - Wilma J. Conley, 90, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018, in Ohio Veteran's Home, Sandusky, Ohio. She was born to the late John and Beatrice R. (Happhold) Weide on November 27, 1927, in Putnam County, Illinois. She served two years in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict, where Wilma met her first husband. They moved to Pennsylvania, then to Amherst, Ohio, eventually settling in Wellington, Ohio, where they raised their family. She was a member of the Open Door Church, in Elyria, Ohio and was the head nurse of maternity in Amherst hospital for nearly 30 years, she then worked at Ohio Extended Care, in Lorain, Ohio, where she retired in 1999. Wilma enjoyed going to church, bowling, dancing, dogs, and she especially loved babies, later in life, she appreciated staying home, relaxing, and enjoying the quiet. She is survived by her children, Kevin G. (Karen) Conley, of Wellington, Ohio, Colleen J. (John) Arthur, of Milan, Ohio, James B. (Barb) Conley, of Erie, Pennsylvania, Maureen K. (Robert) Goeman, of Mooresville, Indiana, and Gretchen M. (Don) Chitwood, of Crestwood, Kentucky. Wilma is also survived by her grandchildren, Kyle, Kory, Amanda, Kathryn, Rachel, Brent, Drew, Josiah, Micah, Jubilee, Gunnar, Sydney, and Cassy, by 5 great grandchildren, by her brother, Edward (Helen) Weide, of Putnam County, Illinois, and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James J. Conley, in 2008, and her second husband, Frank Warrer, in 2005, by her siblings, Martha A. Calbow, Gene "Quinten" Weide, John "Bud" Weide, and Rita R. Weide. Friends may call on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. in Calvary Baptist Church, 250 Benedict Avenue, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Jim McClain will officiate. Interment will be in Milan Cemetery, Milan, Ohio.
