Wilma (Stephens) Gayheart, 72, of Tiro, died Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. She was born February 18, 1939, in Salyersville, Kentucky, to the late Ransom and Mary (Wireman) Stephens. She was a 1957 graduate of New Haven High School. Wilma loved her family, gardening, cooking, crocheting and her church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Haskell; children, Cynthia (Carlos) Rodriguez of Willard, Royce Gayheart and Carol Jewel of Plymouth and Steve (Loucinda) Gayheart of Tiro; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Carl Stephens of Bedford Heights, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Wilma was preceded in death by her son, Haskell Shawn Gayheart; brothers, David, Ruben, Aaron and Jake Stephens, sisters, JoAnn Heifner, Della Justice and Susie Cabrea and infant sister, Dolly Stephens.
Friends may call from 4:00 p,m. Monday, February 6, 2012 until the time of service Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Ripley Chapel, 4320 Old State Road, Greenwich with Pastors Ricky Branham and Harvey Puckett officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh. Memorials if desired may be made to the family in care of Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich.
