Wilma Fern Napper, 83, of New London and formerly of Wakeman, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the Laurels of New London. Born on November 18, 1937, in Oak Hill, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Luella (nee Staten) Carter. Wilma spent her youth in Oak Hill and moved to Clarksfield in 1958.
Wilma worked at Fannie Farmer in Norwalk for 34 years and then at Green Circle Growers for 13 years. She had been a member of the North Fairfield House of Prayer and the New London Golden Agers.
Wilma is survived by granddaughters Luana (John) Holub, of Toledo, and Sarah Rager, of Plymouth; great-grandchildren Raymond, Kataleya, and Andrew Holub; and a brother, Marlin (Jeanie) Carter. She was preceded in death by her first husband Clovis Napper, second husband Richard Gray; daughter, Diane Loven-Rager; and siblings Harold Carter, Wanda Dillinger, Margaret Harden, and Marilyn Shope.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, January 30, from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Shiloh Pentecostal Church of God, 117 Baseline Rd, Greenwich, 44837, where services will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Wireman officiating. Social distancing guidelines will be observed and face masks will be required. Burial will take place at Curry Cemetery, Wilkesville, Ohio.
