Obituary

Winifred Hope Buderer, age 86, of Amherst, died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk. She was born January 25, 1925 in Hartland Twp., daughter of the late Walter and Emma (nee Hero) Cook. She was born and raised in the New London area and had lived in the Hartland/Fitchville areas for many years until moving to Amherst. Winifred was a 1943 graduate of New London High School. She had worked for Dr. Lanka at the New London Hospital for 10 years. Winifred was a 50 plus year member of the New London Grange. She had been baptized and was a former member of the New London United Methodist Church and currently belongs to the Henrietta United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Ken) Wilson of Amherst, Don (Jean) Murray of Willard, Denise Sowards of Sandusky, Tim (Eva) Murray of New London; stepchildren, John Buderer of Cleveland and Bob Buderer of Oregon; 7 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Don Murray and her second husband, Irv Buderer, her brother, Ellis Cook and her sister, Jean Rowland. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2 from 5-8 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, where a memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m.
