Obituary

Woodroe W. Meade, 87, of Perrysville, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Colonial Manor in Loudonville after a short illness. He was born August 26, 1925, in Honaker, Kentucky, son to the late Robert and Myrtie (Case) Meade. Woodroe moved to New London in 1960 and resided in Perrysville for the past 35 years. He was a self employed carpenter. Woodroe was a member of the New London Eagles and a social member of the Perrysville VFW. Survived by his two sons, Phillip (Judy) Meade of Bellville and Larry (Janet) Meade of Perrysville; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; stepchildren, Diane Hoyman, Judy Harris, Cheryl Petroff, Nick Petroff; John Petroff, Michael Petroff and Rick Petroff; siblings, Estel Shenk, Ethel Hamilton, Siltana Yates, Rose Jackson, Almas Shepherd, Merle Perkins, Ransome Meade and Linroe Meade. Woodroe was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth in 2009; sons, Darrell and Cary; stepson, Keith Petroff and siblings, Lemual Meade, Tworea Ratliff and June Harvey. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 3rd at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London where a service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday with Linroe Meade officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland County Memorial Park.
