Woodrow W. "Woody" Skiver Sr., 72, of Norwalk, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on March 20, 1949, in Akron, Ohio to the late Samuel and Naama (Starcher) Skiver.

Woody is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Diane L. (Sanders) Skiver whom he married on August 12, 1967; children, James (Tammy) Skiver, Woodrow Jr. (Wendy) Skiver and Sherri (David) Minor; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; brothers, David Starcher, Joseph Skiver, Paul Kovac; sisters, Charlotte Buffington and Roberta Tewell.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.  Woodrow and Diane had raised 49 foster boys.  In addition to his parents, Woody was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Skiver.  No services will be held per Woodrow's request.  Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 9501 US Hwy 250 N., Suite 2, Milan, OH 44846 or online by visiting www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com
