Beverley Grace “Katrinka” Neel, 94, of Norwalk passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, Ohio. She was born to the late Donald E. and Gladys (Mallorie) Ream in Lakewood, Ohio on October 18, 1925. She graduated from Lakewood High School, served in the Civil Air Patrol during WWII, and eventually moved with her husband to the Norwalk Area in 1957 where they raised their family. Prior to moving to Norwalk, Bev worked for Burroughs Corporation out of Cleveland, Ohio and she held several jobs locally, including Spiegel Insurance, Holman Jewelers, W.L. Mead, All Sport, Pro Mark, and Industrial Powder Coatings.
Bev enjoyed gardening, playing volleyball, crossword puzzles, and sewing. She had an appreciation for a nice steak with an ice-cold beer or a chilled glass of wine. She hated cooking but was incredibly good at it. She was very creative, enjoyed crafting, and working out at Curves (while in her 70’s and 80’s until they closed their doors). Bev was also a Boy Scout and a Girl Scout leader simultaneously.
Bev was a joyful person with a mischievous and amazing sense of humor, she never met a stranger. She was loved by all who knew her and her spirit, she loved life and people. She had a strong will and when she put her mind to something, made it happen. Bev was such a giving person, she had a terrific passion for Christmas. She was also extremely zealous about her politics.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Derek (Ellie) Neel, Carey Neel, Deanna (Steve) Cole, David Binting, and by two great-grandchildren, Skylarr Story and Emersyn Schultz.
