Bruce Ellis Harp

Bruce Harp, 70, of Wellington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and loved ones on Monday, January 4th, 2021. He was born February 26th, 1950, in Oberlin, to the late Robert Harp, Sr. and Hazel (Fye) Harp. 

He was previously employed at Ford Motor Company and worked for the Huron County Transit System. He also served Active Duty in the United States Navy, and he served in the Army Guards and Air Force Guards from which he was honorably discharged. Bruce loved spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed camping with his wife, Linda, and four-wheeling and most importantly playing cornhole! 

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Linda Case; children, Beth (Gerry) Harp, Eric (Denise) Harp, Randy Harp, Darrin (Renee) Denger, Heath (Angie) Denger, and Jeff (Kyla) Denger; grandchildren, Paige Thompson, Aiden Harp, Alijah Harp, Noah Harp, Autumn Harp, Logan Denger, Blake Denger, and Madalyn Denger, Kimberly Clark, Joshua Clark, Kayden Denger, Aniah Denger; great-grandchildren, Willow Clark, Miloa Johnson, and Harlow Brant; siblings, Norman (Ethel) Harp, Gary Harp, Robert “Bob” (Gail) Harp; brother-in-law, Quinton “JR” (Micki) Case; and sister-in-law, Donna Case- Lescher. 

In addition to his parents, Bruce is preceded in death by his grandchildren. Hailey Harp and Quinton David Denger; brother, Lewis (Chip) Harp; sisters-in-law, Ruby Case, Janet Harp, Bonnie Woods, and Kathy Myers; brothers-in-law, Bobby Case, Leon Case, Larry Case, Charlie Woods and David Lescher. 

His family will receive friends on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio 44857. Visitors are required to bring and wear a face mask or covering while inside the funeral home. There is a limited number of guests allowed in the funeral home at one time, so guests should be prepared to wait outside. There will be a private family service with a public graveside service to follow at Collins Cemetery on Friday, January 8, 2021; the graveside service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Bruce’s family would like to invite all in attendance to the Hartland Township Hall, 2745 Court Road, Collins, Ohio 44826. Memorial contributions may be made to Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home.
