Carl Laface 

July 14, 1930 – November 25, 2021 

Carl Laface, 91, of Norwalk, OH passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Norwalk Memorial Home after a brief illness.  

Carl was born July 14, 1930 in Norwalk and was a graduate of Norwalk High School. He was employed at Norwalk Furniture for 17 years and went on to work and retire from New Departure Hyatt in Sandusky. Carl enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years, and recently spending his days listening to country music and playing bingo. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church.  

Carl is survived by his wife of 69 years, Nancy (Tomei) Laface; daughter, Linda Piontkowski; son, Larry Laface; grandson, David Piontkowski; granddaughter, Trina (David) Reineck; 3 great-grandchildren, Maya Reineck, Tyson Reineck and Adam Slate, all of Norwalk and several nieces and nephews.  

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Cosma (Faraci) Laface; 3 brothers, Floren, Jerome and Fortunatum (Forchie) Laface; 2 brothers in infancy and 4 sisters, Helen Aubiel, Rose Merlo, Carolyn Ernest and Mary Craft.  

A private family visitation will be held at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 38 W. League Street, Norwalk, OH 44857 on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 1 pm. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery of Norwalk.
