Carol May (Cruey) Cantrell, 64, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at her home.  She was born on May 1, 1960, to the late Emmett and Gladys (McGhee) Cruey.

Carol was a longtime resident of Richlands, Virginia until she moved to Norwalk, Ohio in 2008, where she lived out the remainder of her time.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Cantrell-Caywood; grandchildren, Kaelyn Rayne Caywood and Wynter Grace Caywood; significant other, Phillip Patterson; siblings, Larry (Sue) Cruey, and Ronnie Cruey; and sister in-law, Sarah Cruey.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, Daniel, Benny Joe, and James Cruey; sister, Virley Cruey, who passed in infancy; and nephew, Ernie Cruey.

Carol's family would like to extend a special thank you to Beverly Alaimo, Chaplin David Detwiler, Keisha, Kari, and many others, at Stein Hospice who assisted in caring for Carol during her life.  Carol always said, "They were all just wonderful people."
